Josh is a nice guy and everything, but this just might be a tad over the top for him….from Lark News. Maybe we could pass it on to a Methodist or Episcopal church somewhere, though…hmmm…….

Pastor spreads love with lotion
TOLEDO, Ohio — Gary Altman, pastor of Fountain Valley Christian Center, has begun a new Sunday morning ritual: He personally rubs lotion on the feet of every person in his congregation.
“We did everything else seeker friendly churches like us do — dramas, contemporary music, culturally relevant messages,” he says. “But after a while we felt we were stagnating. I wanted to connect with my flock
in a new way, to let them know I care.”
Altman positioned himself at the foyer entrance and invited each person to sit for a 2-minute foot rub-down. He used Caress brand lotion the first several Sundays, then switched to Nivea because “it feels silkier.”
People were taken aback the first Sunday, but most removed their shoes and let him rub the lotion all over their feet.
“The best part was when he went between my toes,” says Susie Fairchild, who has been coming to the church for five years and is thinking about becoming a Christian. “It really let me know he cared about me as a person.”
Others were not so charitable.
“I have rather large calluses on my feet, so I’m not happy about showing them off,” says Bud Reingate, a construction worker. “I let him do it, but I felt kind of queasy.”
Altman intends to continue loving his people with lotion “until every last foot feels special.”
