“The Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry about this?” (Jonah 4:4, NLT)
Jonah was mad because God was merciful when Jonah didn’t think God should have been. Then God gives Jonah a lesson about being more concerned about a plant than about a city with 120,000 people on their way to damnation.
Are we more concerned with the “plants” in our life than with the people on their way to damnation around us? Because, perhaps, we don’t feel some “deserve” mercy, because of who they are or what they’ve done? Are there Ninevites in our life?
