A while back, a gentleman posted in an online forum in an attempt to list the verses that – once and for all – refuted Calvinism. We here at El Rancho Reformado took great pains to research the Calvinistic response to this gentleman and thus posted the Reformed response. Given the fact we have now published a book-length treatment of the issue, it is appropriate to repost this and revisit the topic once again. Thus, we present 39 verses refuting Calvinism and the Calvinistic response will be shown in italics.
———————————————————————————————————————————————–
In an online discussion a gentleman posted 39 verses from Scripture that he says definitively disprove Calvinism as a “false religion.” I didn’t know Calvinism was a “religion,” but we are little behind the times here at El Rancho Reformado.
We will post his brief introductory essay along with his Scriptural support, (in its entirety, to retain context), then give the Calvinistic response (if I may be so bold as to speak for Calvinists everywhere), feeble as it may be compared to such wise, irrefutable exegesis as expressed by this gentleman, verse-by-verse. Our detailed exegetical response – which, as you will see, will pale in comparison to our friend’s, will be in italics. My fellow Calvinists everywhere, prepare to be humbled.

Just the FACT that the Founder of CALVINism was such a NON-CHRISTIAN bastard in the way he Tortured and KILLED Servetus makes my blood boil! And, being fairly new to the whole Predestination debate, it just Really seems like a GOD WHO would PRE-Destine Billions of Human Souls to an Eternity in HELL BEFORE they were even Born is NOT worth serving OR worshiping! Anyone care to try to Reason from the Scriptures as to HOW Calvinism’s GOD could be the SAME GOD that “so LOVED the World that HE GAVE HIS only begotten SON, that WHOSOEVER Believes in HIM has ETERNAL life.” (Please forgive any misquotes, as I was hit by a car and in a COMA for 5 weeks when I was 15, in 1968!) (Not that a CALVINist would care what GOD PreDestined for my life!!!) (Or am I MisUnderstanding CALVINism???)
