Of the duty of church members to their Pastor
1. It is the duty of every member to pray for his Pastor and Teachers.
“Brethren pray for us” (1 Thess 5:25; Heb 13:18) that the Word of the Lord may run and be glorified. Again, saith Paul, “praying also for us that God would open unto us a door of utterance to speak the mystery of Christ” (Col 4:3).
How easy it is, sorry to say, for we in the pews to think that only the reverse is necessary - that the only responsibilities that exist are for the pastor(s) to meet our needs and wants.
